Very happy to open once more the doors of my online classroom for this Baby Doll class. You will be creating a baby doll, about 14"/15" tall, weighted with glass beads and a lot of movement, without using plastic joints or wire armatures.
In this class you will learn and practice many doll making techniques, based on the creation of my own little baby dolls: sewing doll skin with a sewing machine, adding weight with glass beads to both the head and torso, shaping a doll's head, needle felting a baby face, eye embroidery, how to make doll hair with lovely mohair yarn, stuffing baby doll limbs, hand-sewing and much more. All from the comfort of your own home.
This class starts on July 21st and ends on July 31st, 2025.
Upon payment, you will be granted a spot in the class, which covers your tuition but NOT your materials. You must source those on your own. A list will be provided so you can purchase any ingredients missing from your doll making cupboard.
The class is imparted entirely through pre-recorded videos, with many annotations and descriptions in ENGLISH. You will gain access to a private website where your lessons will be released slowly as the class progresses. You will also be invited to a private Facebook group where you are welcome to ask questions throughout the week, post in-progress photos and interact with your fellow students.
There will be an additional session of Zoom meetings, scheduled on the 26th-27th of July, so that you can meet with me and ask for live feedback.
I am very passionate about doll making and want you to learn with me but I also want you to discover, at your own pace, the inner world that develops as you are creating a doll.
At the end of the class you will receive extra video tutorials and PDFs of the pattern pieces to make the baby clothes. You will also receive a knitting pattern for the Baby Fox hat.
Once the class is over you will keep having access to all material for a period of ONE YEAR. After that the class will no longer be available for watching.
Restrictions:
You are taking this class to create a doll for yourself, or a loved one. You are not allowed to sell the doll as this is not your design. You can make as many dolls as you wish, but you do not have permission to sell any doll using the template/pattern provided, or any dolls made with alterations or modifications to that template/pattern.
You are not allowed to share the templates/patterns or reproduce them in any way.
Access to the class is given to you only. You are not allowed to share the material or provide special passwords or access to somebody else in your name. You will be granted access to a private area of my website where the class will take place.
