A sleuth of summer bears has just been born in the doll studio of Yours Truly. They came to the rescue as I was making other furry bears and I just couldn't deal with the fur. Rummaging through my cupboards where I found this precious old pink velveteen and they immediately called upon it.
They requested flower hats to mark the many flowers seen on the edges, poking here and there, on my daily walks: bright buttercups, melancholic daisies, minute forget-me-nots and the ever-so-romantic roses.
These dolls are one of a kind and I probably won't make them with this hat style again. We like to keep things fresh in the studio and besides, the dolls are always up to no good, requesting different accessories all the time.

Forget-me-not is made with vintage velveteen and stuffed very firmly with sweet smelling, clean and carded Canadian wool. She is also weighted in her tummy with dollmaking glass beads. Eyes and mouth are embroidered, rosy cheeks and nose were blushed with red beeswax. Her many freckles are hand painted with fabric ink. She is thread-jointed.
She comes wearing a little capelet made of repurposed cashmere and lined with linen. The cape is sewn in. Her little hat is made of cotton double-gauze and the same material as her cape. Her hat does come off.
This doll measures approximately 9" tall and is made as a natural doll for gentle play (humans 12+). Spot clean only.
