The local markets are now offering roasted chestnuts; the stalls are covered with magnificent multicoloured breads, bedecked with shiny fruits and icing. Greenery is starting to adorn window shops, pinecones of all sorts and sizes are jumbled on the lowest corners of the forest and Christmas music is heard now through the air. The beautiful giving season that brings an end to the year is here. My humble contribution from the doll workshop is a small family of reindeer and deers who are meant to bring you cheer and evoke childhood memories. Made as simple toys for gentle play they perform best as pocket sidekicks on nature walks or pretty mantel decorations; they especially love to sit on windowsills to admire snowy scenes or rainy days.

Tinsel is made with repurposed wool/angora knit and stuffed with sweet-smelling, clean and carded Canadian wool. Eyes and mouth are embroidered, and those rosy cheeks and nose are blushed with red beeswax. The antlers are sewn to the head and have wire inside. The velvet collar is sewn on, not removable.
This doll measures approximately 7.5" (19 cm) tall and is made as a natural doll for gentle play (humans 6+). Hand wash only with tepid water and use a low-sudsing soap, please lay flat to dry.
