Pleased to introduce another small batch of WOOL WANDS, a wooden tool for stuffing your dolls. This time with a thinner shank and lightly smaller handle, so you can make thinner rolls of wool or stuffing for your smaller dolls.
This time we used a shank entirely made of exotic hardwood (Wenge—NOT SHOWN—THE WOOD IS VERY DARK NOT ORANGE) because exotic hardwoods have the grain structure it needs in order to not twist out of shape with use, given that the shank is much smaller in gauge this time around.
The tool has many clever details in design, not just to help you torque the wool with ease and minimize the strain on your hands, but also so that you can hold an object that bestows beauty upon your environment, an often forgotten quality when it comes to hand tools, especially for fiber artists.
This tool works perfectly fine for "pushing down" stuffing as well, and it obviously not only works well with wool but with other stuffing materials as well.
This specific tool is made with Ash for the handle with inlaid Padauk details and the shank is made of Padauk as well. There are slight variations to each tool, as each one is one-of-a-kind due to the grain of the wood.
It measures about 12,5" in total length, and will roll wool evenly up to 6" in length (the length of your doll's arm or leg). This is the size of tool I most commonly use for little dolls. You can, of course, make smaller rolls of wool than that for shorter limbs and what not.
The tool is finished with beeswax sealing and ships worldwide.
I use my tools on a weekly basis, and not one of them has broken or gotten twisted after four or so years. We are confident in the quality of this product, however, we cannot guarantee its integrity if you misuse it.

Thank you for checking out the tool and for considering using it to create your dolls. I can't really live without mine and I am so pleased to be able to share them with you all.
